AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions as required, and support controlled access procedures in accordance with site policies and post orders. Support inmate transport, restricted area coverage, and/or other assigned post duties as directed, while maintaining a professional presence and following all applicable armed post protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
