AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel. Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
