Concord, NH Position Type:
Part-Time (20-32 Hours Per Week) Position Summary We are seeking professional, customer-focused Security Officers to join our team at a premier Performing Arts Center in Concord, NH. This position plays a critical role in providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patrons, performers, staff, and vendors attending concerts, theatrical productions, comedy shows, and special events. Security Officers will be responsible for access control, crowd management, customer service, and general security operations before, during, and after events. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a professional presence in a fast-paced entertainment environment. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccess Control & Venue Security Monitor and control access points for patrons, employees, performers, contractors, and vendors. Verify tickets, credentials, and authorized access where required. Conduct bag inspections and security screenings in accordance with venue policies. Secure restricted areas including backstage, performer areas, loading docks, and administrative offices. Monitor venue entrances, exits, emergency exits, and perimeter areas. Crowd Management & Event Security Assist with crowd flow and patron movement before, during, and after events. Maintain order in high-traffic areas such as lobbies, entrances, concession areas, and parking facilities. Respond appropriately to disruptive behavior, intoxicated patrons, and policy violations. Assist with venue evacuations and emergency response procedures when necessary. Maintain awareness of occupancy levels and report safety concerns. Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence. Assist patrons with directions, seating locations, venue policies, and general event information. Resolve patron concerns professionally and courteously. Serve as a positive ambassador for the venue and its guests. Safety & Incident Response Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and safety concerns. Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs. Communicate effectively with venue management, event staff, local emergency services, and fellow security personnel. Conduct routine patrols of the facility and surrounding property. Report hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous security, law enforcement, military, hospitality, customer service, or event security experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be dependable, punctual, and customer-service oriented. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to navigate stairs and large venue spaces throughout a shift. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to respond quickly during emergencies and high-volume crowd situations. Schedule Part-time position averaging 20-32 hours per week . Primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Additional hours may be available during peak performance seasons and special events. Employment Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to receive a State of NH Guard Card Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background check . Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening . Must successfully complete and maintain annual drug screening requirements .
