Blair Academy is seeking to hire a part-time(weekend, nights) employee dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of students, employees, visitors and property while maintaining a supportive and welcoming environment. This position is non-exempt, essential and reports to the Director of Safety & Security. Duties & responsibilities Maintain campus, buildings and grounds security and protect School property against vandalism, illegal entry, fire and theft; Ensure security of campus facilities and grounds and proper functioning of equipment; Monitor and determine whether visitors are authorized to enter Blair buildings or remain on School grounds, and approach those who are not when necessary to prevent access or loitering; Report any infractions, unauthorized visitors, and acts of vandalism to the administration; Ensure the community abides by the School's health and safety policies and procedures; Notify the administration and appropriate local authorities when emergency or disruptive situations arise and collaborate with security team and partners to best manage them; Maintains regular security logs and reports; and Assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications & skills: Minimum of a high school diploma; Valid driver's license in good standing; Minimum one year of security experience; Flexibility in covering varying days and shifts, as needed; Ability to work independently and as part of a team and multitask; and Excellent customer service skills. Salary & other compensation: Base pay range $19-23 per hour. Salary dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to education and experience.
