Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Documentation in Penns Grove, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, parking areas, athletic facilities, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns, and maintain awareness of conditions throughout the educational location. Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information with school personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Have access control and badge experience, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
