Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Security Officer with driving responsibilities to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets through vigilant patrols, surveillance, and swift emergency response. Your driving skills will enable you to perform mobile patrols efficiently, respond promptly to incidents, and manage access control across multiple locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine physical security expertise with the ability to operate security vehicles, ensuring a safe environment for all. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises using your own vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards. Operate access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Perform surveillance using CCTV cameras and other monitoring equipment to detect potential security breaches or incidents. Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established protocols, including fire safety procedures, first aid assistance, and incident management. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, breaches, or accidents with clarity and accuracy. Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors when required to ensure a secure environment. Skills Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and physical security measures. Experience in law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Proficiency in emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety protocols. Ability to handle conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management effectively under pressure. Skilled in performing manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and tactical movement during patrols or incident response. Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks for personnel screening purposes. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with staff, visitors, or clients. Knowledge of firearm handling, Taser use, and other non-lethal weapons is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to follow strict security compliance regulations while maintaining a vigilant and energetic approach to daily duties.
