Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to oversee safety and security operations within our dispensary. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle various security situations with professionalism. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for staff, customers, and inventory while ensuring compliance with all security protocols. Duties Monitor the premises through surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious activity and prevent theft or vandalism. Conduct regular patrols of the dispensary to ensure safety standards are maintained and identify potential security risks. Control access to the dispensary using access control systems, verifying identities, and managing entry points. Assisting clients on a s need basis Write detailed incident reports for any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences to ensure proper documentation. Respond swiftly to emergencies by implementing emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and medical emergencies. Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of security screening processes. Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully and maintain a calm environment. Skills Extensive knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation. Experience in law enforcement, military, or related security fields is highly desirable. Proficiency in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures. Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting safely when required. Strong incident report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with access control systems and physical security measures. Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management capabilities. Knowledge of firearm handling, Taser use, and compliance with security regulations is preferred. Effective patrolling skills combined with conflict de-escalation strategies to ensure safety at all times.
