Job Description
Overview:
Six Flags Great Adventure is looking for a seasonal Public Safety Front Gate Lead. The Front Gate Lead will be responsible for the supervision of the Front Gate area of the Park with an emphasis on guest interactions, labor efficiency, employee development, proactive policy enforcement, and responding to dispatched calls. All aspects of the position require a high level of integrity and confidentiality while maintaining a safe and secure environment, ensuring all policies and procedures are abided by. Reports to the Public Safety Seasonal Shift Supervisor.- Supervise, lead and direct a diverse work force of Public Safety Professionals responsible for their patrol area.
- Be visible with the Staff and interact with them across the shift. Ensure staff is enforcing park and departmental policies including the Guest Code of Conduct.
- Coach, counsel and empower the Public Safety Team to ensure company standards and expectations are being upheld.
- Set high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information concerning guests, employees, vendors, lessees and all other customers.
- Aid city or county law enforcement officials when responding to emergency calls.
- Promotes and maintains a good rapport with all park staff.
- Maintain the highest standards in appearance and uniform up-keep.
Qualifications:
Available to work a variety of hours or shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to continuously stand and/or walk for periods of up to 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. and 5 lbs. above shoulder level.
- Able to communicate, read, and speak effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail with organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team building skills.
- Seasonal Public Safety Theme Park experience or Security Background.
- Demonstrates the ability to work well independently.
- Demonstrates ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledgeable concerning Park locations.
- High school diploma or GED.
