Overview Join our dynamic security team as an Armed Security Officer, where your vigilance and expertise will safeguard our premises, assets, and personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrols, surveillance, access control, and emergency response procedures. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the facility using surveillance tools such as CCTV systems and access control systems to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches. Manage entry points by performing background checks and verifying identities to control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. Operate security equipment including firearms, Tasers, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and fire extinguishers while adhering strictly to safety protocols. Perform physical security tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and maintaining perimeter integrity through fencing checks and patrolling. De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques and conflict de-escalation skills to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved. Follow all compliance regulations related to security operations, including emergency response procedures, fire safety protocols, and security regulations. Skills Proven experience in surveillance operations, CCTV monitoring, or law enforcement is highly desirable. Strong background in military or security services with knowledge of firearm handling and tactical response. Excellent communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions. Ability to perform background checks accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality. Skilled in performing first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety procedures to respond effectively during emergencies. Proficient in operating access control systems and performing patrolling duties across large facilities or outdoor areas. Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for physical security duties. Knowledge of compliance standards related to security operations and emergency response protocols.
