Blue Star Security is hiring a vigilant, highly reliable Armed Security Officer to oversee access control, asset protection, and perimeter safety for an agricultural cannabis cultivation facility in the Mesquite, New Mexico area. In this role, your primary focus will be safeguarding facility personnel, monitoring site security, enforcing strict post orders, and maintaining continuous operational oversight during product handling and transportation protocols.

Key Responsibilities Access Control & Visitor Verification:

Verify credentials, log all site visitors, contractors, and staff, and enforce facility access restrictions.

Cultivation & Transport Protection:

Provide high-visibility static post coverage and security monitoring during crop harvesting, product processing, and transport operations.

Perimeter Patrols:

Conduct scheduled foot patrols around the greenhouse/farm perimeter, security fencing, and entry points to deter trespass or unauthorized activity.

Requirements & Qualifications Licensing:

Active New Mexico Level 3 Armed Security Guard License (required prior to start date).

Duty Equipment:

Applicant must possess their own duty firearm and a Level 3 retention holster.

Background Check:

Must pass state-mandated background checks and pre-employment drug screenings.

Punctuality & Reliability:

Strict adherence to site scheduling, including arriving 5 minutes prior to shift start for mandatory pass-down logs and post handoffs.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk outdoor agricultural terrain, and remain alert during extended 12-hour shifts in varying environmental conditions.

Professionalism:

Strong de-escalation skills, clear communication, and a clean, professional uniform appearance at all times.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Pay:

$17.00 per hour
