Job Description
Culpepper & Associates Security Services is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to work at their Pahrump, Nevada VA location. The position is a Full-time position Monday thru Wednesday 6:30 am to 5:00 pm plus additional hours where needed. Job Description As a Security Officer, working in a clinical environment, you will serve and safeguard the United States Veterans' Affairs property and their customers. Security Officers are responsible for the surveillance of the client's healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. Security Officers also provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner. Responsibilities Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients, and family members. Continuous monitoring for signs of unusual activity. Reporting any security breaches or illegal activity. Conducting routine security checks to prevent theft or damage. Responding to fire alarms and other emergencies. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a criminal background investigation, physical and drug screening in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to exercise independent judgment Ability to read and understand operating procedures Ability to prepare clear, legible reports Intermediate computer skills (wireless technology systems) Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Have at least two (2) years' experience in contract or proprietary security and/or Military or Law Enforcement experience within the past five years. Be a US citizen and at least 21 years old. Be fluent in English with the ability to read and understand printed regulations, written orders and instructions. Possess excellent written/oral communication skills and maintain poise and self-control under stress. Be physically and mentally fit and capable of performing all normal emergency security duties and responsibilities. Not have a history of substance abuse or domestic violence or any criminal acts.
