The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for employees and customers. Duties include maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring activity inside and around the property, assisting management with security-related concerns, conducting routine patrols, addressing disruptive or inappropriate behavior, and responding to incidents as needed. This assignment involves frequent interaction with teenagers and juveniles. Candidates must be comfortable working with young people and be able to communicate clearly, maintain appropriate boundaries, manage group behavior, and use patience and de-escalation techniques when handling conflicts or disturbances. The Security Officer will also be expected to observe and report suspicious activity, document incidents accurately, protecting employees and customers from immediate harm, requesting additional assistance, and contacting law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Applicants must possess a valid New York State Security Guard Registration Card and should have strong communication, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills. Prior experience in security, schools, youth programs, public safety, loss prevention, or similar environments is preferred. One complimentary meal is provided during each worked shift.

Pay:

$18.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 40.0 per week
