June 30, 2026 Company Overview Nativa Cannabis is a vertically integrated adult-use cannabis enterprise in Western New York. The business currently incorporates a retail storefront operating in the Buffalo, NY area, and is currently staffing out a cultivation facility in Cuba (Oil Spring), NY. Once open, this facility will house the cultivation, extraction, manufacturing/packaging, and testing of cannabis and cannabis products in partnership with the company's retail location. Overview of Position The Security Guard monitors and authorizes the entrance and departure of staff, vendors, contractors, visitors, and any other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of the premises. The successful candidate will possess a clean background check, attention to detail, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and the willingness to assist with other duties as necessary. - Flexibility Duties and Responsibilities
- The main responsibility of the Security Guard is to check-in, escort and observe individuals and all visitors to specified locations within the Nativa Cannabis facility
- Examine and verify identification of persons wishing to access the facility
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property
- Ensure that all inventory and supplies are properly monitored at all times
- Document the time of arrival and departure for all visitors including, vendors, contractors, clients, and any other visitors
- Distribute identification badges to all non-employee visitors and collect them at end of visit
- Monitor and review security cameras
- In the event of an emergency, secure staff, visitors, and building; act as liaison with local police or law enforcement
- Daily, maintain written or electronic tracking sheets in 15-minute increments, noting all activity on premises
- Escort staff members or others between vehicles and the building as requested
- Maintains daily records of all visitors and guests
- Maintains a clean visitors area
- Document any incidents or accidents, and report them to the Director of Cultivation Qualifications Education
- High school diploma or equivalent Work Experience Required
- 2+ years' experience in security preferred
- Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges Required Knowledge
- Knowledge of computer & office equipment and programs (inventory systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Knowledge of in-depth video monitoring systems

- Must hold a valid State Driver's License Work Environment There is a moderate but consistent level of noise throughout much of the facility's cultivation area due to running a large HVAC system and fans to maintain a consistent environment.
Employees may be frequently exposed to an environment of natural chemical fumes, herbal aromas, airborne particles, and wet and/or humid conditions. Employee will have moderate exposure to conditions such as dust and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin, depending on department job assignments.
