Job Description

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this job is to enforce the rules, policies and regulations of the institutions as they relate to employees and other persons. Patrols the building and grounds of the Hospital and Nursing Home and the Medical Arts Building to observe, prevent and report fire, theft, vandalism, accidents or unauthorized entry.
Education:
Possess a High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
Possess an Associate's degree in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security or related field.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Possess New York State Security Guard registration.

New York State Emergency Medical Technician preferred.
Experience:
Possesses two (2) years prior experience in a security position. Must have completed 8 hour Security Officer pre-assignment training course. 16 hour on the job completed within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
Possesses experience in a healthcare facility.
