Overnight Security / Night Audit
Job Description
Opportunity:
Security Officer / Night Audit Perform protective and enforcement functions in a friendly and courteous manner to maintain a safe and secure hotel environment. Balance revenue and settle accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for the next day of operations while performing Guest Service Agent tasks and duties. Your Focus Patrol designated hotel areas. Respond to disturbances and emergency situations. Maintain a daily activity log. Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents. Prepare incident reports and other reports and communicate all related information to hotel management. Access secured areas for authorized personnel. Complete incident/accident reports in a clear and concise manner. Escort guests to their rooms or assist guest's w/entry into their rooms according to hotel standards. Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards. Monitor TV cameras, if applicable. Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage. Night Audit Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits. Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers. Prepare and distribute daily reports. Audit and reconcile cashiers. Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis. Input and update financial information into the BRAINS network. Check guests in/out and perform Guest Service Agents tasks. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints. Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program. Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as requested by management. Your Background and Skills High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred. Prior security experience is desirable. CPR/First Aid preferred.
