On-Call Unarmed Security Officer GSG Protective Services is seeking professional On-Call Unarmed Security Officers to support retail locations, logistics and distribution facilities, and special events. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, as-needed scheduling in dynamic environments. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional atmosphere for staff, clients, visitors, and guests. Key Responsibilities Provide a high-visibility security presence at assigned locations. Monitor and control access points. Conduct foot patrols of interior and exterior areas. Observe, document, and report unusual or suspicious activity. Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner. Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with employees, vendors, visitors, and guests. Collaborate effectively with GSG team members and client personnel. Complete required reports using company-provided digital reporting systems. Follow site-specific post orders and GSG Protective Services policies and procedures. Scheduling & Availability On-call / event-based assignments Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts may be available Officers must be dependable and punctual when accepting scheduled assignments Minimum Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Valid Security Guard Permit as required by state law Authorized to work in the United States Reliable transportation to various job locations Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods Skills & Qualifications Strong observational and reporting skills Professional appearance and demeanor Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments Basic proficiency with smartphones and reporting applications Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Prior security experience (retail, logistics, distribution, or event security preferred) Customer service experience Knowledge of basic access control procedures
