Position Title Substitute Security Guard Required Application Type School Related Personnel Salary/Pay Scale $21 per hour Job Description Northport-East Northport School Security is a 24/7, 365 days per year security operation. The district provides security for each of the 10 school buildings throughout the year. Guards MUST be flexible and will be asked to work various shifts in any of the 10 schools within the district. Guards will be asked to work holidays and after-school events. All shifts available Job Qualifications Must have a NYS Department of State Security Guard License Must complete an 8-hour NYS certification each year and a 16-hour NYS training certificate Valid NYS Driver's License All candidates will be subject to a background check and fingerprinted by the NYS Department of Education Some law enforcement experience preferred but not required Some college preferred Will be trained in CPR/AED/First Aid Should have experience and knowledge of the operation of CCTV-Video monitoring and ability to export is a plus Must be able to utilize technology, especially email and Word documents Candidates should have a professional appearance and be self-motivated Application Procedure Applications accepted through RecruitFront.
