Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. We are looking for guards to work afternoons at a location in Schenectady that requires foot patrols of location, interaction with local businesses, and maintaining post orders. This role requires strong observational skills, a proactive approach to safety, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in protecting property and ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site. Duties Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies. Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent loss. Provide assistance during conflicts or disturbances, employing conflict management techniques. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary. Observe, report, document suspicious or criminal behavior. Experience Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention strategies is advantageous. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
