Unarmed Security Guard

Sylver Protections is hiring dependable, professional unarmed security guards to provide coverage at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, one of the Northeast's busiest retail destinations in Central Valley, New York. You will be the visible face of safety for shoppers, retail tenants, and staff, deterring incidents, responding to concerns, and keeping the property secure and welcoming.

Schedule:

Full-time, day shift, Monday through Friday. What you'll do: Patrol assigned areas on foot to deter theft, trespassing, and disorderly conduct Monitor entrances, common areas, and parking lots, and report suspicious activity Respond to incidents, medical situations, and emergencies, and document them clearly Provide courteous assistance and directions to shoppers Enforce property rules and coordinate with mall management and local law enforcement Complete accurate shift logs and incident reports What we're looking for: Valid New York State Security Guard registration, or willingness to obtain it before starting (8-hour pre-assignment training required) 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance Required to wear a black suit (professional business attire) on every shift Strong observation, communication, and de-escalation skills Able to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather Clean background check; prior security, military, or customer-service experience is a plus What we offer: $18.50 per hour Paid time off (PTO) Health insurance A full-time, daytime, Monday to Friday schedule Join a team that takes safety, professionalism, and its people seriously.
