Job Summary We are seeking vigilant and dedicated Security Officers to safeguard our facilities, personnel, and assets. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety across the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property, including building interiors, exteriors, and restricted areas, to identify potential security breaches or hazards. Control access to facilities using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by following established emergency response procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events accurately and clearly. Perform background checks on new personnel or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security regulations. Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to handle disputes professionally while maintaining safety. Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary. Support law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents by providing relevant information or assistance. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for patrols or equipment setup. Maintain compliance with all security policies and regulations to uphold the integrity of the security program. Experience Prior experience in security roles within corporate, retail, military, or law enforcement environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques using CCTV systems and other monitoring tools. Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols. Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks is preferred. Ability to handle physical security tasks such as patrolling, heavy lifting, and manual handling safely and effectively. Strong communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions with staff and visitors. Certification in security operations or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; ongoing training opportunities are available for motivated candidates.
