Armed Security Officer

Black Diamond Security Services is currently hiring professional and dependable Armed Security Officers for a truck stop security assignment. Officers will play a major role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and property while ensuring truck traffic and parking areas remain organized and compliant with site rules. This position requires individuals who are confident, observant, professional under pressure, and capable of enforcing site policies without hesitation. Officers must be comfortable approaching drivers, addressing unauthorized parking, handling loitering issues, and maintaining a strong visible presence throughout the property.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain a highly visible armed security presence throughout the truck stop property Conduct constant foot patrols throughout the shift to monitor all areas of the site Patrol parking lots, fuel islands, entrances, and surrounding areas on foot and/or by vehicle Monitor for suspicious activity, theft, trespassing, loitering, disturbances, or safety hazards Approach and communicate with truck drivers parked illegally or violating site rules and instruct them to move when necessary Prevent unauthorized overnight parking and keep traffic flowing smoothly throughout the property Remove trespassers, loiterers, and disruptive individuals from the premises in a professional manner Provide a strong deterrent presence to help employees and customers feel safe Respond quickly and professionally to incidents, conflicts, or emergencies Complete detailed incident and activity reports Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary Enforce all client policies and security procedures consistently

Requirements:

Valid Armed Security License/Card required Must be comfortable carrying a firearm while on duty Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Must be confident speaking with truck drivers and enforcing parking policies Ability to remain calm and professional during confrontations Reliable transportation and punctuality required Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred Must be able to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform continuous patrols throughout the shift This is an active position and is not suitable for individuals unable to consistently walk and patrol during working hours Clean and professional appearance required at all times

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for officers who are proactive, alert, and not afraid to take control of situations when needed. This is not a "sit and watch" position officers are expected to actively patrol, stay on their feet, engage when necessary, and maintain order throughout the property while representing Black Diamond Security Services professionally.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
