Job Description
This is a Casual/ PRN security officer position. Hours will vary based on the needs of the department. Under general direction, Security Officers are responsible for monitoring all areas of the hospital in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Security Officers are on campus 24/7 and act as a visible deterrent to crime and policy infractions, as well as detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts, which may be a threat to the property, staff, visitors or patients. Occasionally interacts with psychiatric/violent patients. The position reports to the Supervisor of Security Services.
