3008168419-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Securitas seeks a Part-Time/Weekend Truck Gate Security Officer to control access to a busy facility, verify trucks and drivers, and protect people, property, and cargo. Responsibilities include checking IDs and paperwork, inspecting vehicles, logging entries and exits, enforcing site rules, and responding to incidents. Officers use radios and access-control systems while delivering professional, customer-focused service. Responsibilities Monitor and control truck and vehicle access at facility gates Verify driver identification, loads, bills of lading, and entry/exit paperwork Conduct visual inspections of vehicles and trailers for security or safety concerns Maintain accurate gate logs, visitor records, and incident reports Operate access control systems, radios, and basic security technology Enforce site security procedures, safety rules, and traffic guidelines Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following post orders Provide customer-service-oriented assistance to drivers, visitors, and staff Collaborate with supervisors and site contacts to address security issues Attend required training and maintain knowledge of security protocols Required Skills Access control operations Vehicle and cargo inspection Report writing and documentation Incident response procedures Use of radios and communication devices Basic security systems operation Traffic and gate control Observation and situational awareness Customer service in security settings Regulatory and site policy compliance
