Available assignments may include:
Full-Time Day Shift School-day security coverage. Part-Time Special Events Evenings and weekends as needed. Part-Time Weekend Church Masses Saturday and Sunday church service coverage. About the Position This is not a "stand around" security job. This position requires professionalism, maturity, strong communication skills, sound judgment, physical capability, and the ability to interact positively with students, staff, families, parishioners, visitors, and the general public. We are seeking individuals who understand that school and church security is about more than presence. It is about protection, mentorship, prevention, professionalism, and trust. The right candidate must be able to represent Bee-Safe with discipline, confidence, and respect throughout the workday.
Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Providing a visible, professional security presence on campus Monitoring school, church, and event activity Walking interior and exterior areas of the property Assisting with arrival, dismissal, parking, and visitor flow Professionally engaging with students, staff, parents, parishioners, and visitors Identifying and reporting suspicious activity, safety concerns, policy violations, or security risks Responding to incidents, emergencies, disturbances, medical situations, and safety concerns Writing clear, accurate, and timely reports Following Bee-Safe policies, client procedures, post orders, and lawful directions Attending required training and maintaining required certifications Supporting a safe, respectful, and controlled environment Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including: Walking for extended periods Standing for extended periods Walking and/or running up and down multiple flights of stairs Lifting up to 50 pounds Dragging or assisting with movement of up to 150 pounds in an emergency situation Working indoors and outdoors as required Responding quickly during urgent or emergency situations Minimum Qualifications Applicants must: Be at least 21 years of age Hold a valid driver's license Have a high school diploma or equivalent Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing Have strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills Be dependable, punctual, and professional Be able to pass required background checks Be able to pass required drug screening Be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm where required by assignment Be willing and able to travel for required training Successfully complete all required Bee-Safe, client, state, and assignment-specific training Background and Eligibility Requirements Due to the sensitive nature of this assignment, applicants must meet Bee-Safe, client, licensing, and legal eligibility standards. Disqualifying history may include, but is not limited to: Felony convictions Domestic violence convictions Disqualifying weapons-related offenses Disqualifying assaultive or violent offenses Resisting arrest or obstruction-related offenses Any legal restriction that prohibits possession or carrying of a firearm Any criminal history that creates an unacceptable safety, trust, licensing, or client-placement concern Final eligibility decisions are made in accordance with applicable law, licensing requirements, client requirements, and the duties of the position. Training Requirements This position requires ongoing training. Training may include initial, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual requirements. Training may include, but is not limited to: Security officer training Firearms training, if applicable Use-of-force training De-escalation Report writing Emergency response School/church safety procedures Medical response / first aid / CPR / AED Site-specific post orders Bee-Safe policy and professionalism standards Applicants must be willing to attend, participate in, and successfully complete all required training.
