ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: These statements are intended to describe the responsibilities assigned to the position and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required. General supervision and oversite for students and staff for dedicated entry points. Check for proper identification. Require visitors to check-in through the district management system, communicating with office staff, and/or redirecting visitors to the main office. Provide routine assistance to staff and security regarding school ID requirements. Maintain communicate to administrative and security staff of all visitors on campus. Monitor cameras at entry points and to assist security. Maintain a consistent presence at your post between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., unless relieved by another school employee. Provides general supervision and oversight of the BAHS parking lots. Assist with the management of the parking lot. Monitors compliance with district registration requirements for operating a vehicle on campus. Reports/documents parking and/or tra?c infractions. When requested, assist with the preparation and departure of school tra?c at the end of each school day. Works in conjunction with Broken Arrow Security O?cers on a daily basis. Provides routine assistance to students, sta? and visitors. Maintains confidentiality of students and staff. Implements district emergency action procedures when appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned by the school administration and/or Security Director.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This position will be performed in both inside and outside conditions. The noise level will range from quite to loud. The job will be performed in areas of heavy concentration of people as well as in areas with few physical obstacles.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
Tools/Equipment Used:
security cameras, two-way radio, alarm systems and/or other security equipment, fire extinguisher, and standard office equipment including computer and peripherals.
Posture:
prolonged sitting and standing.
Motion:
light walking and keyboarding/mouse manipulation.
Lifting:
light lifting and carrying 5-15 pounds.
Mental Demands:
maintain emotional control under stress; prolonged hours. Ability to react quickly with no advance warning and to assist with emergency situations. Reports directly to the site administrator or designated administrator(s) when communicating issues and/or concerns. Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL BEHAVIOR
Ability to use sound judgment in any situation. Ability to deal successfully and rapidly with changes in assignments and properly respond to applicable correspondence/communication received. Ability to project a professional company image through in-person, phone, and electronic interaction. Ability to build and foster harmonious rapport and work cooperatively with District sta? and the public while achieving the objectives and goals of the position. Ability to handle problematic and/or di?cult situations professionally by communicating with the appropriate person.
ATTENDANCE STATEMENT
Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity. Exposure to dust and potential allergens. Required to work around moving vehicles.
