AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report security-related concerns. Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with checking credentials and/or visitor entry procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations. Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location policies, maintaining professional presence and readiness for security-related response.
Minimum Requirements:
An armed guard card or license is required. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
