Job Description
UPMC Muncy is currently hiring for a full-time Security Officer to join our Safety & Security team. This is an unarmed, Night shift (11pm-7am) position with rotational weekend & holiday commitments! Purpose:
Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Protects hospital assets and confidential information. Sign-on Bonus! $1,500 sign-on bonus for a two-year commitment!
Responsibilities:
•Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
•Performs other duties as assigned. Assist with traffic control and vehicle assists Complete all mandatory training programs per departmental guidelines Conduct patient escorts and stand-by details Establish a uniformed security presence by patrolling UPMC hospitals, buildings, grounds and associated areas to deter criminal activity, document activities, and contact UPMC Police Officers or other appropriate law enforcement when necessary. Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels as necessary to prevent theft Maintain required certifications and licensing Monitor security, fire, and environmental alarms, respond to alarms and assist when needed. Operate UPMC vehicles in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code Provides customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff to maintain a safe and secure environment. Report and document incidents, suspicious activities and hazards Responds to and resolves problems, disputes and unusual circumstances as necessary. Staff fixed posts to monitor ingress and egress to secured areas Transport deceased to morgue/release bodies from morgue
