Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Security Patrol in Norristown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while responding to concerns and supporting a secure environment. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications operations location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access control systems, cameras, and other site equipment; document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with site procedures. Verify credentials and authorize entry in accordance with established access procedures while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
