This energetic position involves maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, access control, and emergency response. You will be the first line of defense, ensuring compliance with security regulations while providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. Your proactive approach will help create a safe and efficient warehouse operation where safety is a top priority. Duties Monitor and operate CCTV surveillance systems to oversee all areas of the warehouse and yard, ensuring security at all times. Control access to the facility using advanced access control systems, verifying identities of employees, visitors, and vendors. Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including the warehouse floor, yard, and perimeter fences to detect any suspicious activity or security breaches. Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats; perform first aid and CPR when necessary. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities to ensure accurate record-keeping. Perform background checks on new employees or contractors as part of the onboarding process to maintain a secure workforce. Manage emergency response procedures including AED operation, fire extinguisher use, and conflict de-escalation techniques to ensure safety for all personnel. Skills Proven experience in physical security or law enforcement roles with knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV systems. Strong understanding of security regulations and compliance standards applicable within warehouse environments. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and performing thorough patrols across large areas. Excellent conflict management and conflict de-escalation skills to handle tense situations professionally. Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail for accurate documentation of events. Knowledge of emergency response procedures including AED operation, first aid, Taser use, and fire safety protocols. Effective customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse groups.
