Duties Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot system faults. Read schematics and HVAC design plans to accurately execute installations or repairs. Repair plumbing fixtures, piping systems, appliances, and mechanical components involved in HVAC and plumbing operations. Conduct routine HVAC system maintenance to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot mechanical systems using mechanical knowledge and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Utilize hand tools effectively for repairs or installations while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with building automation systems (BAS) to optimize climate control and energy efficiency. Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation of work performed for quality assurance. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during every interaction. Operate company vehicles safely as a van driver when required for on-site visits or equipment transport. Experience Proven construction experience with hands-on work in HVAC or plumbing projects preferred. Service technician experience in residential or commercial settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical systems repair is essential. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration is advantageous. Experience with building automation systems (BAS), boiler operation, appliance repair, property maintenance or related fields will set candidates apart. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while troubleshooting complex issues. Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters (ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment is required. EPA certification or equivalent licensing for refrigerant handling is necessary to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
