Primary Responsibilities

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for providing professional security services with a focus on observing, preventing, and reporting.

Duties may include:

Monitor assigned areas and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.

Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols and other patrols as assigned.

Maintain daily activity reports and write clear, accurate incident reports.

Enforce site post orders, policies, procedures, and client regulations.

Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents.

Provide professional customer service and assist with client requests as needed.

Communicate incidents and concerns to site and company management.

Attend required company and site training.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1-3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience preferred.

Current state-required security registration/license/permit.

Must successfully complete required background screening and drug/alcohol testing, where applicable.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Professional appearance and customer-service skills.

Ability to remain alert, use good judgment, and work independently.

Reliable transportation to and from the assigned location.

Valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.
