As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. T his is a great opportunity for retired individuals and/or those looking for overnight PT weekend work with a potential opportunity for FT. A strong background in security and/or law enforcement is a must. ''' Required Qualifications & Certifications ''' Valid firearms license and certification (ACT 235) Valid State Security Guard License / Armed Security Permit First Aid and CPR certification (preferred) Training in de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service (preferred) Clean criminal background check and fingerprint clearance Ability to pass a drug screening Reliable Transportation ' ''Physical & Medical Requirements'' Ability to walk extensively, including stairs, for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, or move objects or individuals as needed Adequate hearing and vision to monitor surroundings effectively Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations ''' Responsibilities''' Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including walking stairs and different areas Identify and respond appropriately to suspicious activity or security breaches Enforce facility policies and security protocols Remove or detain individuals as authorized and necessary, following legal and safety guidelines Write detailed incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and promptly Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security threats Assist residents and visitors courteously and professionally Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed Maintain a visible security presence at all times for the residence and to deter criminal activity ''' Skills & Competencies''' To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong observational and situational awareness skills Proficient in report writing, incident documentation, and daily activity logs Ability to remain calm and professional during high-stress situations Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills Ability to make quick decisions and act decisively Knowledge of security operations and emergency procedures as outlined by Policies and Procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Customer service-oriented attitude, with sensitivity to senior resident needs ' ''
