Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our facilities, personnel, and assets. This role requires flexibility, quick thinking, and a proactive approach to potential security concerns. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing access points, and responding effectively to incidents or emergencies. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment that fosters confidence and peace of mind for everyone on-site. Responsibilities Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and physical patrols to monitor activity across the premises. Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, assessing situations with clarity and professionalism. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate assistance during medical emergencies. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed to address security issues or incidents. Document all security activities, incidents, and observations accurately in shift reports and logs. Enforce loss prevention measures by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or damage. Requirements Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in first aid, CPR, and conflict management is preferred; willingness to obtain certifications if not already held. Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and other security technology. Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, emergency responders, and visitors. Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities during emergencies or incidents. Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly when required.
