Job Summary City/State Woodbridge, VA Work Shift Swing Shift Overview:
Overview The Security Officer Armed Recruit role is a role designated for newly hired Security Officers while preparing for successful transition to an Armed Officer role. During the transition period of 120 days all training and required certifications will be completed to allow them to progress to an Armed Security Officer role. The primary function of this transitional role is to further develop the necessary skills, training, and certifications required to carry a weapon and function as a fully Armed Security Officer. Education High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Certification/Licensure State DMV Motor Vehicle Record and current Valid Driver's license (Required) Experience 1 year of security, military or police experience (Preferred) An offer of employment for a Security Officer Armed Recruit is contingent on passing the pre-employment screening process, which includes a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation. Once the preemployment process is cleared and employment has begun, incumbents will have 120 days to successfully complete and obtain other job specific certifications, as defined in the job profile. Failure to obtain these certifications within the prescribed timeframe will result in termination of employment. Annual fitness assessment is required, and psychological evaluations are required every 3 years as a condition of continued employment in this position.Benefits:
