Job Description

The Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office seeks a fulltime Case Management and Security Officer for its life-transforming Multidisciplinary Court program. This treatment program helps defendants overcome their drug- and alcohol-dependence disorders as an alternative to prison. Familiarity with such programs is preferred; S.C. Criminal Justice Academy Class 1 certification mandatory. We are looking for a reliable, professional person to assist MDC staff in case-management and to provide security during weekly hearings, drug testing and in-home checks of participants. This employee also will act as the primary liaison to circuit law enforcement agencies. Case-management will likely constitute most of the candidate's duties, however, and will include facilitating participant referrals for services such as vocational rehabilitation, continuing education and health care. Will also participate in collection of daily drug-screening samples. Occasional weekend work could be included, but hours for this salaried position will be limited to about 40 per week. Work will take employee to various offices across the 14th Circuit, so candidates must have a valid South Carolina drivers' license, and reliable transportation. A clean criminal history also required. For more about our Multidisciplinary Court program, go to https://scsolicitor14.org/court-alternatives/#multi.
