About the Job Harvey & Battey, P.A. is a full-service law firm with a complete real estate department serving residential and commercial buyers and sellers and lending institutions. Harvey & Battey is looking to hire a full-time Real Estate Paralegal that would work in our downtown Beaufort office.
Position Summary:
The Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for client management and processing and preparing real estate closings for buyers and sellers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Engaging with real estate agents and clients to prepare for real estate closings. Working with lending institutions to complete closing packages, completing loan documents after closing, and mailing necessary payoffs and closing documents. Prepare real estate closing files for document execution by attorneys and clients. Communicating with clients, lenders, Realtors, and service providers in person, by telephone, and by email. Maintain legal files (both paper and electronic), organize and file documents. Print, scan and photocopy legal documents. Manage document deliveries and track final executed documents. Assist with overflow work and other projects as needed. Competitive salary based on candidate's qualifications and experience.
Job Requirements:
Must have previous experience as a real estate paralegal. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including WORD and Outlook as well as document management and other office technologies. Must have experience in some real estate closing software, with Title Express being preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in a team. Qualifications & Prior Experience Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 2-5 years dealing with real estate transactions. Must be proficient with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word and Outlook. Must be reliable and dependable. Work experience with Qualia and Title Express is preferred. Accounting skills and experience are a plus.
