Defender Services, a company that hires security workers, is seeking
UNARMED SECURITY SHIFT LEADER
for a manufacturing facility in the
NEWBERRY, SC.
Shifts Available:
Monday through Friday 3rd

Must be able to control staff Must be able to take control of different situations Must be able to carry out all instructions Must be able to write reports in English Must have knowledge of computers Must be able to work as a team as well as have control over the shift Must be able to learn the alarm and fire system Must be able to work/learn CCTV camera system All applicants must meet the State of South Carolina requirements for an unarmed private security officer to include: Must have prior security experience with references Must be very knowledgeable of security protocols and procedures High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Ability to pass extensive background check, including criminal history check, employment, and education verification, and meet requirements for access to sensitive information. Pass the post-offer/pre-employment testing in accordance with assigned site requirements/regulations: Work extended hours Work alone Work and perform under stress Work in adverse weather Provide escorts Respond to emergencies with unplanned strenuous physical activity. Climb stairs in an emergency Sit or stand alone for at least two hours Ability to bend and lift up to 25 pounds Ability to function in emergencies and unusual environments The examinee shall demonstrate stability and capacity for the following: Mental alertness and emotional stability Acuity of senses: ability of expression to allow rapid, accurate communication by spoken, written, audible, visible, or tactile signals. Physique, stamina, motor power, range of motion, and dexterity to allow safe execution of duties. No use of medications while the individual is working, that would incapacitate, alter mental status, judgment or decrease physical or mental response times (e.g., anxiety relief via sedatives, narcotic pain medications, etc.). Individuals with medical conditions which may impact the ability to perform the essential functions of the job shall provide medical evidence that the condition is controlled with proper medication and/or treatment and/or reasonable accommodations. The site physician may require the candidate to obtain a letter of clearance from his/her personal physician attesting that the candidate can perform the essential elements of the job.
