Job Description
Job Description Summary The Security Officer reports to the Director of Security. Under general supervision, the Security Officer monitors and provides protection and security for facilities, premises, employees, patients and visitors. This position responds to security calls within the medical center and conducts basic investigations as well as troubleshooting of the electronic visitor management system. Skills needed include the ability to physically patrol the perimeter of the medical center and parking lot, as well as ability to communicate tactfully with the public. Knowledge of methods of security in buildings and grounds institution is preferred, and this position involves shift work and some overtime. Job Description Education:
High School Diploma. A Bachelor's degree or other relevant certifications may be substituted for the required work experience..Credentials:
Must obtain and be able to maintain the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety certification (IAHSS) within the first year of employment. Must have a valid South Carolina Driver's License.Work Experience:
