Job Summary:

The security guard is to help ensure the employee dormitory area, and other areas as assigned, is safe and secure by conducting regular reviews and checks throughout the scheduled shift.

Schedule:

Patrol designated areas (dormitory, adjacent parking lot, gazebo) to deter and detect unauthorized activity. Inspect doors, windows, gates, and other access points for security compliance. Monitor for hazards (fire risks, leaks, unsecured areas) and report promptly. Respond to emergencies by contacting National Park Service or emergency services as needed. Sound alarms or initiate emergency protocols when required. Document all incidents, disturbances, and irregularities in shift reports; submit reports before end of shift. Provide support to dormitory residents (e.g., lockouts, general inquiries). Warn and document rule infractions; escalate serious issues to appropriate staff. Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous security or monitoring experience is strongly preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years. Ability to learn and use the Incident Reporting software and prepare incident reports and daily shift reports. Ability to capture relevant factual information in order to properly complete reporting requirements. Possess strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decision under pressure. Must have or able to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification through the American Heart Association. Willing to "pitch-in" and help the team with tasks. Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work.

Physical Requirements include:

Frequently stand, walk, sit, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 12 pounds. Occasionally handling, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying 11-50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 13-25 pounds We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
