Position Category Staff Part Time Job Description The Security Officers shall maintain a working knowledge and comply with all LMU handbooks; They will conduct the day-to-day activities to ensure a secure campus Required Qualifications High school diploma; valid drivers license; must successfully pass a background check; must be 21 years old or older to be an armed guard Preferred Qualifications law enforcement and/or security training Physical Demands Campus Virginia Job Duty Job Duty Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large Job Duty promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students; Job Duty participate on University committees Job Duty maintain knowledge and compliance with faculty/staff policy manual, Security SOP, student policy handbook, and other policy manuals; Job Duty conduct regular security rounds of all property Job Duty maintain security of all keys and key access Job Duty sufficiently complete new employee training Job Duty research, report crime and incidents; Job Duty address policy violations when observed Job Duty report all maintenance and grounds issues through Daily Activity reporting; Job Duty conduct traffic safety, issue traffic and parking citations Job Duty respond quickly to emergencies Job Duty maintain Emergency Response certification Job Duty contact/coordinate with local authorities as necessary for emergencies of past incident follow up; Job Duty complete daily activity reports, incidents reports, consult and understand pass-on book information since the individual s last shift Job Duty Maintain officer code of conduct in accordance with Faculty/Staff Policy Manual expectations Job Duty completion of required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites; Job Duty Maintain and display a high degree of professionalism in appearance Job Duty perform other duties as assigned Posting Detail Information Posting Number S05344P Job Open Date 06/04/2026 Job Close Date 09/04/2026 Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions Summary About the Institution Lincoln Memorial University is a values-based learning community dedicated to providing educational experiences in the liberal arts and professional studies.
