Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, controlling access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your dedication will help ensure the safety of clients, visitors, and staff while supporting the seamless operation of our security services. This is an overnight position at a local homeless shelter Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to identify potential security risks or hazards Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by coordinating with emergency responders as needed Maintain detailed shift reports, incident logs, and security records with accuracy and clarity Enforce loss prevention measures to protect assets and prevent theft or vandalism Assist in conflict management by de-escalating tense situations professionally and effectively Experience Prior experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable Knowledge of surveillance tools such as CCTV systems and familiarity with loss prevention techniques Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred to handle medical emergencies confidently Background in military or security service provides valuable skills for this role Strong conflict management abilities combined with excellent observational skills Ability to stay alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor Join us in making a meaningful impact by safeguarding our communities with energy, precision, and unwavering commitment.
