Full-time with overtime opportunities Snelling Staffing is seeking an experienced Safety and Security Trainer/Supervisor for a manufacturing facility in Caldwell, Texas. This position will oversee workplace safety programs, employee training, OSHA compliance, incident investigations, corrective actions, and the day-to-day supervision of safety and security employees. The ideal candidate will have hands-on industrial safety experience and the ability to build a strong safety culture throughout a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain facility-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and company safety requirements. Conduct new-hire safety orientations and ongoing employee training. Deliver training in areas including lockout/tagout, forklift safety, personal protective equipment, machine guarding, fall protection, confined-space entry, hazard communication, emergency response procedures, and Texas Department of Transportation requirements. Maintain OSHA logs, training records, safety documentation, and compliance reports. Investigate workplace injuries, incidents, near misses, and property damage. Conduct root-cause analyses and help implement corrective actions. Monitor corrective actions to ensure identified hazards are resolved. Assist with workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs. Conduct routine plant inspections, safety audits, and employee observations. Identify unsafe working conditions and behaviors. Lead safety committee meetings, toolbox talks, and employee safety meetings. Coordinate emergency drills, fire extinguisher inspections, and first-aid response programs. Monitor safety compliance involving contractors, visitors, machinery, cranes, and forklifts. Analyze injury trends and recommend improvements. Ensure employees have access to and properly use required personal protective equipment. Supervise day and night shift safety and security employees. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and operational efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three to five years of industrial safety experience. Manufacturing, metals, or aluminum industry experience preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards. Experience conducting employee safety training and orientations. Experience with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action management. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Additional safety certifications are a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working around machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including occasional nights and weekends. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Compensation and Benefits $25.00
