Full-Time / Overnight Position Overview We are seeking dependable, professional, and highly observant Unarmed Security Officers to provide overnight security for a commercial truck yard in Denton, Texas. This position combines access control, hourly patrols, truck key control, driver verification, incident reporting, and property monitoring . Officers must be comfortable working independently overnight and maintaining accurate security documentation throughout the entire shift. Key Responsibilities Remain on-site and alert throughout the assigned 12:00 AM-8:00 AM shift. Complete an initial Patrol Tour Report within 10 minutes of clocking in. Conduct and document hourly patrols and scan all required checkpoints. Complete a final Patrol Tour Report approximately 10 minutes before clocking out. Monitor entrances, exits, office areas, parking areas, building perimeter, truck staging areas, and key distribution areas. Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter theft, trespassing, vandalism, and unauthorized activity. Inspect the property for damage, broken windows, unsecured doors, suspicious persons, safety hazards, and other security concerns. Control access to the property and verify that drivers have legitimate business at the site. Verify required driver and vehicle information before releasing authorized truck keys. Maintain accurate truck key inventory and access-control records. Never release keys to unauthorized individuals. Take clear photographs when required to support patrol and incident documentation. Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs), Patrol Tour Reports, and Incident Reports . Immediately report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, property damage, and other security concerns. Contact 911 for active emergencies and promptly notify Dispatch. Maintain communication with the company's 24/7 Dispatch Team. Ensure gates, doors, keys, and designated areas are properly secured at the end of the shift. Maintain a professional uniform and appearance at all times. Follow all company and client site procedures. Qualifications Valid Texas security license/registration appropriate for the position. Previous security, patrol, access-control, warehouse, trucking, logistics, or industrial-site experience preferred. Ability to work 12:00 AM-8:00 AM reliably. Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Comfortable verifying documents and maintaining key-control records. Ability to use a smartphone or electronic system for checkpoint scans, reports, and photographs. Strong written communication skills for security reports. Ability to remain professional when interacting with drivers, employees, clients, and Dispatch. Dependable transportation to the Denton location. Ability to follow detailed post orders and emergency procedures. Must meet all company and applicable state requirements for employment.
