Aperio wireless lock technology . This is a hands-on lead role. You will install and program Aperio devices, hubs, and integrations; run and terminate low-voltage work; commission doors; troubleshoot live systems; and direct junior techs on site. What you will do Lead field installation, programming, commissioning, and service of electronic access control systems Install, configure, and commission Aperio wireless locks, cylinders, escutcheons, handles, and related hardware (including Sargent IN100 and similar Aperio-enabled products) Install and commission Aperio communications hubs (Wiegand, RS-485, and IP hubs), including wireless pairing, encryption, addressing, and integration to the host ACS Integrate Aperio online and offline devices with existing access control platforms Install and wire controllers, power supplies, credential readers, electric strikes, maglocks, REX devices, door contacts, and related door hardware Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling (multi-conductor security cable, CAT5e/CAT6) Diagnose wireless communication issues, battery life / power problems, credential read failures, hub-to-panel communication faults, and door hardware binding Read and work from door schedules, riser diagrams, floor plans, and manufacturer documentation Lead and mentor helpers and junior technicians; enforce quality, labeling, and safety standards Coordinate with project managers, GCs, electricians, and end users on active construction and retrofit sites Complete as-builts, commissioning checklists, punch lists, and service documentation Perform warranty and service calls; train customers on basic operation where needed Required qualifications 5+ years commercial access control / electronic security field experience Extensive, hands-on Aperio experience — not "seen it once." Must be able to independently install, program, commission, and troubleshoot Aperio locks and hubs Strong door hardware knowledge (cylindrical/mortise locks, strikes, maglocks, closers, frames, alignment) Proven ability to lead a small field crew Ability to read blueprints, door hardware schedules, and wiring diagrams Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to obtain/maintain Texas DPS registration as an Electronic Access Control Device Installer (required to work legally in Texas) Ability to work on ladders/lifts, in ceilings and mechanical rooms, and lift up to 50 lbs Must pass background check and drug screen Preferred qualifications Experience integrating Aperio with platforms such as LenelS2, Genetec, Software House / C CURE, AMAG, HID, Brivo, or similar Familiarity with HID credential technologies (iCLASS, Seos, multiCLASS), MIFARE/DESFire, and mobile credentials (NFC/BLE) Texas DPS individual registration already in hand OSHA 10, lift certification, and/or BICSI training Basic networking (IP addressing, switches, VLANs) for IP hubs and cloud/hybrid systems Prior lead or foreman experience on commercial construction or multi-site retrofit work What we offer Competitive pay based on Aperio expertise and leadership experience Overtime Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (typical for this role) Phone, tools, and PPE Paid Aperio / manufacturer training and Texas DPS licensing support Health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays Clear path into senior tech, field supervisor, or project lead roles To apply: Send resume highlighting Aperio projects (system type, number of doors/hubs, online vs. offline, host ACS) and current compensation expectations.
