Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Assignment in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this dynamic role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and represent a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity. Monitor entrances, exits, and/or other assigned access points, verify authorized access as directed, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Support daily property operations by assisting with directions, reporting maintenance or life emergency issues observed during rounds, and communicating professionally with tenants, visitors, and/or vendors.
Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card/license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
