Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking dependable and professional Level II Security Officers to provide security, access control, patrol, and customer service at assigned locations throughout West Texas. This is a 24/7/365 operation , with fixed shifts available . Officers will be assigned to a designated shift based on operational needs. Candidates must be dependable and able to consistently work their assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays when required. The ideal candidate will have previous security, military, corrections, public safety, industrial, construction, hospitality, or access control experience. This position requires sound judgment, strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond appropriately to security concerns and emergencies. Duties Monitor and control access to assigned facilities, gates, and restricted areas. Verify employees, contractors, visitors, vehicles, and credentials as required. Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas. Operate security gates and access-control equipment. Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security incidents. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established site procedures. Prepare clear, accurate, and timely incident and activity reports. Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public. Use sound judgment and appropriate de-escalation techniques when handling difficult situations. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty. Follow all site-specific security procedures, policies, and post orders. Work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors and other security personnel. Requirements Minimum Qualifications & Requirements At least 1 year of relevant experience in security, military, corrections, public safety, industrial, construction, hospitality, access control, or a related field is preferred. Schedule & Work Environment 24/7/365 security operation Fixed shifts available Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available. Officers must be able to consistently report to their assigned shift on time. Outdoor and indoor work environments depending on assignment. Position may require extended periods of standing, walking, and patrolling. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs and navigate various outdoor and industrial environments. Ability to operate security gates and access-control equipment. Ability to conduct outdoor patrols and remain on duty in varying weather conditions, including West Texas heat, cold, wind, dust, and rain . Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation as required by law. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform access control, communicate during emergencies, and complete accurate reports. Bilingual ability is highly desirable. Valid driver's license required. Must maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) . Strong professional judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or challenging situations. Ability to effectively communicate and de-escalate conflicts. Strong report-writing and documentation skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and site-specific procedures. Must be reliable and able to work assigned fixed shifts , including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
