Job description:

Patrols, protects, and secures all Harris Health System buildings and grounds. Promotes safety and security across all Harris Health locations. Responds to crisis intervention team activations. Prevents patient elopements and assists medical staff with patient restraint when required. Operates security systems and equipment to support facility safety procedures.

Academic Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience Requirements:

One year of experience in security, criminal justice, military, healthcare, or related fields.

Certifications:

IAHSS Basic Security Officer Training Program (must be completed within six months). Valid Texas Driver's License. Basic Life Support (AHA hospital-based). SAMA certification or equivalent (required within 30 days; recertification required if using equivalency). Texas Private Security Bureau registration (required within 90 days).

Licenses:

Valid Texas Driver's License.

Communication Skills:

Above average verbal skills (heavy public contact). Writing and reporting proficiency..

Salary:

$20.26

•$24.43 per hour.
