The Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers location.Responsibilities:
Communicate via radio, telephone, and verbally in accordance with established orders and communication protocols. Interact with and escort public and government personnel as required, maintaining professionalism at all times. Provide access control and traffic control , and conduct walking and motorized armed security patrols to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property. Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and government regulations related to the security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property, and equipment. Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility inspections , including package and parcel screenings , in alignment with established security requirements. Work flexible hours , including weekends and holidays, to meet operational and mission needs. Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall security operations.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Armed Security Guard certification through DCJS. Active Secret clearance. Must be at least 21 years of age. Certified in use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray. Certified in use of Batons. Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization. Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
