Job Description
Job Summary We are currently hiring professional Armed Security Guards to provide security services for Sate Registration Facilities. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and state property. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, alert, and capable of handling high-traffic public environments while maintaining excellent customer service and professionalism. This position requires strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to incidents and emergencies. Shift Monday- Wednesday 7:30am-5:00pm Responsibilities Maintain a visible armed security presence throughout DMV facilities Monitor entrances, exits, waiting areas, and parking lots Conduct access control and verify identification when required Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and suspicious activity De-escalate conflicts and maintain order in public areas Assist employees and visitors with security-related concerns Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs Enforce facility rules, policies, and procedures Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary Ensure firearm safety and compliance with all state and company regulations Requirements Must be at least 21 years old High school diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation Active Armed Security License/Certification required Must be legally authorized to carry a firearm while on duty Previous armed security, military, law enforcement, or corrections experience preferred Strong communication and report writing skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays Must pass background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications CPR/First Aid Certification Customer service experience Experience working in government facilities CCTV and access control experience
