The Lead Security Technician is responsible for leading low-voltage projects from start to finish in the field. This includes directing installers, coordinating daily work, and ensuring access control and camera systems are installed, programmed, and commissioned correctly. The technician must be comfortable making field decisions, working directly from drawings, and maintaining project schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Run low-voltage jobs independently from rough-in through final commissioning Lead and manage crews based on job size and scope Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling Install, configure, and program access control systems Install, configure, and program IP and analog camera systems Mount and wire door hardware, readers, panels, and related devices Mount, aim, and configure cameras and NVRs Troubleshoot system, network, and device issues Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades on site Read and work from floor plans, riser diagrams, and device schedules Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and code requirements Document work completed and mark up drawings for as-built changes

Requirements:

Strong experience with access control and camera systems Ability to manage installers and keep projects moving efficiently Comfortable running jobs with minimal supervision Solid understanding of low-voltage cabling and termination standards Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field Strong communication and leadership skills
